BELLINGHAM, Wash. — An Amtrak train struck a man walking the tracks illegally Sunday morning near Bellingham, Amtrak officials said.

A train leaving the Bellingham station around 10:10 a.m. headed to Vancouver, B.C. hit the man, described as a “trespasser,” Amtrak officials said. The man was seriously injured.
