Bullying can have devastating consequences.

Elizabeth Osgoodby, a bullied teen, said she’s been called “fat and ugly.” Angela Schadle said a fellow student “was like, you’re fat, you’re ugly, lice head!”

Kalani Castaneda, 16, said people have told her she “shouldn’t exist.” and since her early teenage years, Castaneda has been diagnosed with depression and has attempted suicide. She’s even changed schools to get away from bullies.

FacebookNow, these King County teens are hoping to use the power of the Internet to stand up to bullies.

After years of being bullied, a group of four girls created a Facebook page called “Get Up and Stand Up.” Within days, nearly 100 people “Liked” the forum on raising awareness about bullying.

“We want to stop bullies from hurting people and stop suicides and stop people from hurting themselves,” Caastabeda said.

Except that the founder herself has given her fair share of bullying and prejudice towards others. Besides, the entire page has yet to show any potential for getting anything done other than it just being a place for a bunch of family and friends of the founder to post their victim stories, "appreciation posts", and their parents commenting on how proud they are of their children for actually getting their unoriginal (and often unsuccessful) offense at bullying noticed by the news. Funny thing is, someone made a page AGAINST these girls FB page.

      Their page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/222962637848790/?…
      Anti-page: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Get-Down-Stand-Dow

I don't know who made the anti-page, but I did read some of the stuff he/she put on there and he's/she's made some good points so far.
