EVERETT — Police tracked down a woman who posted a photo to her Facebook page that included the caption “Barbie Bandits” and booked her into jail for a string of burglaries, police said.

Melissa Lindner, 25, is suspected of breaking into a strip mall on Feb. 10 and is facing seven counts of second-degree burglary. Another woman believed to be her accomplice has not been charged.

Police said they believe the women broke into the mall in the 5700 block of Evergreen Way where one of the women previously worked. The women are believed to have burglared up to six businesses in the mall. When Lindner was apprehended, police said she confessed to the burglaries and led them to stolen property in the her home and vehicle.

The Everett Herald reported that the women’s neighbors told a detective that the two would “brag about being the ‘Barbie Bandits’.”
