Marcos Arevalo: WMW viewer tip leads to dangerous, woman-abusing gang member

marcosFUGITIVE CAPTURED Jan. 31, 2013 -- The Department of Corrections Violent Crimes Task Force in Yakima says it was a tip from a Washington's Most Wanted viewer, called into Crime Stoppers that led to the arrest of Marcos Arevalo -- captured in Kennewick, by the U.S. Marshals Pacific Northwest Violent Offenders Task Force. He is the 364th fugitive caught so far. FUGITIVE WANTED IN TRI-CITIES and YAKIMA Jan. 11, 2013 Cops in Yakima say Marcos Arevalo is a fugitive who has a cruel jealous streak. In 2010, Arevalo beat his ex-girlfriend in the head, then choked her until she blacked out because of text messages from other guys that she had received. He even kicked her so hard in the chest that it knocked the wind out of her. During one attack, her kids heard their mother screaming and found her on the floor. He's wanted by the Department of Corrections for failing to report and as you probably figured, he is listed as a high-violent offender. He's got his last name, "Arevalo" tattooed on his right arm and "Rivas" on his right wrist, along with two masks inked on his right forearm. Officers believe he is traveling back and forth between Yakima and the Tri-Cities area and may be armed with a gun. Arevolo is also a gang member and a meth user. If you know where officers can find him, call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 800-222-TIPS.
