VIDEO: NRA criticizes Obama in new TV ad; some say ad goes too far

NRAWASHINGTON — The National Rifle Association released a new television commercial Tuesday night charging President Barack Obama of hypocrisy for being “skeptical” about placing armed guards at schools, while his own two daughters are protected by the U.S. Secret Service.

“Are the president’s kids more important than yours?” a narrator says in the 30 second ad. “Then why is he skeptical about putting armed security in our schools, when his kids are protected by armed guards at their school.”

The commercial is running on the Sportsman Channel, a cable network focused on outdoors programming such as hunting and fishing. It is also posted on a dedicated web site “Stand and Fight.”

A very stupid-stupid advertising concept from the NRA, but they aren't known for being reasonable. I think the clip was deleted because it's so lame. Maybe the NRA should leave governing to the adults.

It just touches the surface of the STUPID things this administration is doing. Why isn't anyone calling them out on this debt ceiling thing? If you keep borrowing more to pay you bills, it WILL come crashing down evventually. Did we forget the housing bubble that crushed our economy already?

I love how gullible people are. We don't want to give up our gun rights because then the only two people with guns will be people we don't trust – criminals and the government. Exactly why the second amendment was instituted. Wake up to the truth people – choose the red pill for a change.

It only hurts because it is TRUE. To benifit the most leftists, we have to use the jedi mind tricks and pass the koolaid. Acually solving the probem of People Violence would not furthur thier aganda of People Control by disarming them. If the monster of Newtown had drivien his mothers stolen car into 20 kids at the bus stop, we woud not be lamenting that a Honda with 80 hp vs. 130 would have not killed as many. We would have paced the blame on the driver. Why not pace the blame on the the shooter? It doesn't further the agenda. The "adults" shoud have learned about honesty while growing up.

  • Hi.

Some schools already have police patrolling inside and outside campuses. The problem is just that there aren't enough resources to have police patrolling all schools at all hours. Why not just fund and employ more police officers?

Talk about an elitist. Who wouldn’t want their kids protected like that? Apparently only the King is allowed that honor and the rest of the rabble will have to fend for ourselves, without guns of course. Pitchforks for now, until some one goes on a rampage with that…
