Still stormy, less lowland snow

SEATTLE -- Heavy rain for the lowlands and major mountain snowfall above 1,000 feet is slated to continue through Thursday morning.

It’ll be breezy too with gusts to 35mph common. The heavy rain will make for standing water on the roads so drive carefully. The heavy snow will cause delays or closures on the passes, so pack your patience if you heading into the mountains.

Thursday evening actually looks dry. Dry! Can you believe it?

Friday morning it's back to the rain but Friday evening looks mostly dry as well so plan your activities around these “dry hours”.

The Winter Solstice happens 3:12 a.m. Friday morning. Happy Winter. Showers over the weekend. Christmas Eve looks dry and Christmas Morning looks dry too.

Enjoy and Merry Christmas.
