Obama speaks in Connecticut, says ‘We will have to change’

ObamaWASHINGTON – President Obama vowed to take action to prevent mass slayings like the one that tore through a Connecticut elementary school Friday, saying, “We can’t tolerate this anymore.”

Speaking at a memorial service for the victims of the Newtown, Conn., shootings, Obama said he would use his office to try to stop the steady pattern of mass shootings.

“Can we honestly say that we’re doing enough to keep our children, all of them, safe from harm?” Obama said. “If we’re honest with ourselves, the answer’s no. We’re not doing enough, and we will have to change.”

Did the president apologize for letting school security funding lapse? None of this should have happened. I hold Obama responsible. He would rather bailout a corp, but not protect our children. And again he promised to do whatever they need. How many times has he lied to us. The numbers keep rising.

I hold conservatives responsible for promoting gun ownership as a way to make society safer. The victim, Mrs Lanza, made a huge mistake by bringing guns into her home. Shot in the head by her own son!
The federal government can not afford to place guards at thousands of public schools and the Republicans would never approve it anyway.
