Threatening gesture – Revealing a handgunQ: I have a concealed weapons permit. I know I can’t bring my gun into a tavern, but can I leave my gun locked and hidden in my car if I go in for a beer? — Jeremy in Black Diamond

A: “Jeremy, thanks for the question. You’re absolutely right, you can’t carry a concealed pistol in a tavern, but you certainly have the right to keep it locked and hidden in your vehicle – and again, I’d like to emphasize the fact that you did say ‘hidden’ in your vehicle, because you don’t want to have it missing from your car when you come out of the tavern. Thanks for the question.” — King County Sgt. Cindi West
