Local sports superstars ring bells for Salvation Army

SEATTLE --  Coaches and players from the Seattle Sounders, Mariners and Seahawks will be bell ringers for the Salvation Army Tuesday afternoon from noon-1 p.m.

The 38th annual bell ringing event raises money for Northwest families. The festivities will be led by Salvation Army Divisional Commander, Mayor Douglas Tollerud, at the corner of 5th Avenue and Pine Street.

Players who are scheduled to participate, include: Steve Sarkisian, University of Washington football coach (2009-present); Jim Lambright, former UW football coach (1993-1998); Lorenzo Romar, UW basketball coach (2002-present); Brad Evans, Seattle Sounders FC; Kasey Keller, Seattle Sounders FC; Mike Morgan, Seattle Seahawks; Bobby Wagner, Seattle Seahawks; K.J. Wright, Seattle Seahawks and Jeff Cirillo, former Seattle Mariners third baseman (2002-2003).
