Is it legal for me to drive my husband's car with his guns in it?

Q: My husband has quite a few firearms in his truck that are visible and that he has a license to carry. I need to drive about three hours and there is nowhere to store the guns. Is it legal for me to drive the car with the guns in it, even though they are not mine? -- Emily, Idaho A: If you're driving that truck, it's your responsibility to know what weapons are in there or not. If your husband cares about you, he'll make sure you're not driving that truck if you don't have a concealed weapons permit and that the weapons are hidden. You need to come up with a different way of transporting those weapons or get them in or out of the car easily, because the last thing you want is to have an incident where police show up and you have hidden weapons in the car that you don't have the right paperwork or permits for. -- Pierce County Sheriff's detective Ed Troyer
